Dubai International Peace Convention 2012 (DIPC 2012) will be held from 12 April 2012 to 14 April 2012 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid AlMaktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
DIPC intends to spread peace and security. The event aims to evoke a sense of compassion by bridging gaps, building relationships and developing an understanding among people of the world. In addition, there is scope to create prospects for international cooperation by constructive dialogue with regards to freedom, justice and equality.
The speakers will discuss matters of international peace and draw attention to the teachings of Islam. The event will also host a peace exhibition on the relationship between religion, science, education and work. It will also assert the need for scientific excellence and professional success in the well-being of mankind.
The first edition of the DIPC addressed various issues related to the people’s misconceptions on Islam. Also discussed was the Islamic message of accepting one another and coexisting regardless of one’s belief. UAE has a reputation for being the ideal example of human coexistence where harmony in human relationships prevails. Dubai was chosen for this event as it embodies the values of human coexistence among its residents.
